I have been teaching trombone lessons since my senior year of high school in the late 1990s. Before my life as a university professor, I was a freelance trombonist and brass teacher in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, where I taught as many as 50 trombone lessons per week. These days, my primary teaching outlet is the Trombone Studio at the University of Alabama, where I have been on faculty since the Fall of 2024. Between my university commitments and my performing schedule, I have limited availability for outside teaching during the school year, but usually, time can be found for a single lesson here and there throughout the school year.
